William Lorence & Maliya Mary Hardenbergh

Tragically lost on May 29, 2023, were cousins William Lorence Hardenbergh, 22, and Maliya Mary Hardenbergh,14.  William and Maliya are survived by their grandparents, Jimmie and Elise Wilkerson.  William is also survived by his mother, Amber Hardenbergh, and his father Immanuel Billingslea, and  brother, Tyshawn.  Maliya is survived by her father, Victor Lopez, mother, Kimberly Hardenbergh, and siblings, Maleek, Makiya, Makaidyn, and Makynline.  Those that also grieve the loss of these young people are several aunts, cousins, family, and friends near and far.

          William will be remembered well as a jokester and for his amazing love of basketball; both playing and watching.  William also loved Nascar and went many times to Watkins Glen and other racing events.  William had an amazing gift for knowing sports statistics.  

          Maliya loved to draw, explore tik tok, ramen noodles, baking, watching videos, and the challenge of completing puzzles.

         Both William and Maliya were kindred spirits in their desire to spend time in individual activities and in outdoor activities, particularly camping and anything to do with the water.  Grandmother, Elise, remembers fondly enjoying the time she spent teaching and making homemade applesauce with them.

        A joint memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 1 pm following calling hours from 11:00 am-1:00 pm at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home 5068 State Route 52, Jeffersonville, NY  12748.  A meal and time of fellowship for friends and family will follow at the Callicoon Center Fireman's Field 1669 Gulf Road, Callicoon Center, NY 12724.
