William S. Korwan

William S. Korwan of Jeffersonville, NY a retired Director for IBM and owner of Korwan's Tree Farm and Landscape Gardens in Jeffersonville , died on Wednesday June 16, 2021 at Garnet Medical Center Harris,NY.. He was 87. The son of the late Robert Francis Korwan and Edith Leona Burckersroda Korwan he was born October 25,1933 in Brooklyn, NY. He and his wife Elaine Lillian Werner Korwan were married on August 29,1953.
Bill loved to work with his hands and was an accomplished woodcarver.
He is survived by his wife Elaine at home, his children: his son William Charles Korwan and his wife Janet,  his daughter Janet Korwan,  his son David Korwan and his wife Brenda , his daughter Annette Freeman and her husband Richard and his son Daniel Korwan. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Heather, Christopher, Jake, Katherine and Rachel and by his great grandchildren Kasen and Reese and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandson Joshua Freeman.
Friends may call on Sunday June 20,2021  from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home Jeffersonville, NY. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home Pastor Bill Hagerty will officiate. Interment will be made in the Ferncliff Cemetery Hartsdale, NY at 1:00 PM on Monday June 21,2021. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jeffersonville First Aid Squad.
