Obituary
Phyllis W. Danas (née Werden), RN, 65, Jeffersonville, NY, passed away on May 29, 2023, following a long illness. She began her nursing career at New York Hospital, Cornell Medical Center, in Manhattan, as a Level 3 neonatal nurse. She was a talented NICU nurse and was well regarded for her skill and sensitivity to the subtle changes that could occur in these fragile infants. Subsequent to clinical work, she continued her nursing career in case management, pursuing the services and support that patients needed after a traumatic medical event. In later years, she became a Legal Nurse Reviewer. She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa and Natasha Danas.
