James J. Coll

James J. Coll, of Saugerties, N.Y.: James J. Coll - “Jamie” to family and friends - a long time resident of Sullivan County and most recently of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on January 31, 2019, at Westchester Medical Center. Jamie was born in Brooklyn to John J and Mary B Coll on November 13, 1964 and was a graduate of Delaware Valley Central School, Class of 1982. He was an avid reader and a long-suffering Mets, Jets and Knicks fan - win or lose. He spent most of his adult life working in area hotels. At the present time he was employed at Ivy Lodge Assisted Living in Saugerties. He was very much loved by his co-workers as well as clients. Jamie was predeceased by his parents, brothers Kevin and Brian, and niece Kelly Coll. He is survived by two brothers, John Coll and his wife Barbara of Kerhonkson, and Tom Coll and his companion Susan Bergman of Queens; a sister, Jane Coll Olsen and her companion Chris Jardine of Loch Sheldrake; 12 nieces and nephews; 14 great-nieces and nephews; and cousins who were more like brothers. There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life to follow in the spring. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Jeffersonville N. Y. Fire Department.
