Helen Snedeker Obituary


     Helen Lucy Snedeker of Kenoza lake a retired Teachers Aide for Sullivan County BOCES died Tuesday November 9, 2021 at Roscoe Regional Healthcare Center. She was 94.  Helen was born in Kenoza Lake on February 20, 1927 to the late John and Bertha Abplanalp Bernhardt. Helen was the Widow Of Alfred Snedeker whom she had married on June 27, 1948. 
     Helen led a very active life as a teenager she worked at the Breakstone Creamery in Youngsville; she was a homemaker and assisted her husband Al with his automobile service business; she was a Cub Scout Den Mother for Pack 106, she was a Recreation Director for the former Fern Manor in Kenoza Lake; she was a member and taught Sunday school at the Kenoza Lake United Methodist Church and was a member of the Bell Tone Singers of Roscoe.
     Helen is survived by her three sons Lyle Snedeker, Daniel Snedeker and his wife Betty, Jon Snedeker and his companion Liz, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister Patricia Reinshagen a sister in law Marie Levine and many nieces and nephews. in addition to her parents and husband Helen was predeceased by her daughter in law Kelly Snedeker.
      Grave side services will be private at the convenience of the family.  In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kenoza Lake United Methodist Church.
