Gloria Grunn

Gloria Cooney Grunn, our Go-Go, died peacefully at her home on October 17th, 2022. She was 93 years of age. She was a resident of Damascus, PA since 2000 after living in NJ most of her life, with a career in the travel industry for many years. She was a member of the Grover Herman Hospital Auxiliary, and volunteered at several organizations. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, her brothers, John, Jim, and Joe Cooney and her sisters Kay Fleming, Ethel O’ Mara, May Primrose, Pat Kent, and her daughter in law, Tasha Williams. She is survived by her brother George, her daughter Laurie Knoop (David Dann), Jerry (Donna Plucinski) , Peter (Paul Wetzel), Richard, her grandchildren, Kate Knoop (Silvio Censale) Dylan (Rachel Finninger Grunn), Corinna (David Barnett), Sullivan, and Sheridan and her great-grandchildren Milo and Willow, and many beloved nieces and nephews, whom she adored. Donations in her name can be made to the Grover Herman Hospital Auxiliary in Callicoon, NY.

There will be no visitation.

The Funeral Mass for Gloria will be held on Thursday October 20, 2022 at 1 PM at Holy Cross Church Route 97 Callicoon. Father John Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be in the Callicoon Cemetery 319 Seminary Road Callicoon, New York . Memorial contributions may be made to the Grover Hermann Hospital Auxiliary C/O P.O. Box 66 Callicoon, New York 12723.
