In his younger years, George worked as an Operating Engineer and made history, the same as his family before him on many Landmarks in New York City and New Jersey. He even helped to construct his own children's Elementary School in Bergen County in NJ.
If there was a difficult or dangerous job to be done, he was often called upon in his field of expertise. He was awarded for his continuous years of service in the Local 825 Union. He will forever be remembered for his mechanical abilities, he was a Universal Man and had the ability to fix anything which he passed onto his sons!
During that time he resided with his family in NJ.
George was very much a family man and wanted more. He and his family relocated to Callicoon, NY where he made his forever home. George loved nature and was an avid hunter. He was a long-standing member in a Hunting Club for many decades.
He was well-known in the community. George took advantage of every minute of everyday, especially in his later years, to live his life to the fullest. He loved to tell stories of his younger years and shared valuable life lessons.
