Florrine Bauernfeind

    Florrine Bauernfeind of Beechwoods Callicoon a home maker and former cook at the Delaware Valley Central School died Sunday June 6, 2021 at home
surrounded by her family. She was 92. Florrine was born in Reseda, california  the daughter of the late Victor and Eileen Currie Bauernfeind. Florrine was married to Herbert Bauernfeind. 
     Florrine proudly characterized herself as a Farm Wife. She grew a huge garden and fed all comer's-She was everyone's Mom. She was a wonderful cook
and even worked out as such. Florrine was active in the churches, The Fresh Air Fund, The Upper Delaware Ambulance Corp, The Callicoon I.O.U. and the Callicoon Thrift Shop. She loved dolls and refurbished hundreds of them for needy children. But, above all, Florrine was the steady one that was there for all us.
     Florrine is survived by her husband Herbert Bauernfeind, by her children Marie Peek and her husband Jim of Bath, NY; Roy Bauernfeind and his wife Nancy of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Mark Bauernfeind and his wife Patricia of Waymart, PA. Florrine is also survived by two grandchildren Heather Slane and her husband Daniel 
and Andrew Peek and several nieces and nephews. Florrine is further survived by her sisters in law Marjorie Bery and her husband Raj; Sondra Bauernfeind, Magoly Bauernfeind,and Judy Bauernfeind.
     Florrine was predeceased by her son Ivon Bauernfeind and grandson Robert Peek, by her brother John Bauernfeind, and by her brothers in law Glenn and Ross Bauernfeind.
     Friends may call on Friday (today) June 11, 2021 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home 34 Upper Main Street Callicoon from 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 11 AM at Grace Church 9282 Route 97 Callicoon. Burial will be in the Bauernfeind Cemetery Beechwoods Callicoon.
