Obituary

  Ernst H. (Ernie) Reimer Jr. of North Branch a retired Dairy Farmer and lifetime area resident died Sunday May 28, 2023 at Garnet Medical Center Grover Hermann Division in Callicoon. He was 81 years old.

     Son of the late Ernst H. Reimer Sr. and Elizabeth Globuschutz Reimer, and husband of Eileen Hettema Reimer, Ernie was born December 13, 1941 in Callicoon.

     Ernie was a graduate of Delaware Valley Central School, a member of the Sullivan County Farm Bureau and a Past Chief of the North Branch Volunteer Fire Department.

     Ernie is survived by his wife Eileen, by his sister Katherine Reimer Powell of West Shokan; by two sons Edward Reimer of Georgia and his children Darren and Elizabeth, Evan Reimer of Hankins and his children Alex, Kyle, and Mason of North Branch; and by his daughter in law Heidi Reimer of North Branch. He is also survived by cousins Lee Reimer and Tom Reimer of Hortonville.

     There will be no services at this time.  Memorial contributions may be made to the North Branch Volunteer Fire Department P.O. Box 28 North Branch, New York 12766.
