Eleanor M. Schenck

Eleanor M. (Ellie) Schenck of Jeffersonville, NY passed away on Friday March 5,2021 at the age of 83. Ellie was born on June 4,1937 in Queens, NY to Leo and Hattie  Edwards Richard. 
Ellie married John F. Schenck on November 6, 1955 and enjoyed 39 years of marriage until his death in 1994.
Ellie had many careers in her life. She was one of the first female driving instructors in New York State. She was a telephone operator, a licensed real estate broker, and for 35 years she was a family home care provider. She was a proud owner of Pacapoo Farms, where she loved and cared for her precious Alpacas until her health made her give them up.
In addition to her parents and husband Ellie was predeceased by her infant daughter Jean Marie and her brother Leo.
Ellie is survived by her nieces and nephews and their families John and Wendy Schenck  of Peaceful Valley (Callicoon, NY) and Lawrence Schenck and Hillary Peake of Long Eddy, NY , and by her nieces Carol and Paul Campbell of Ellenville, NY and Elizabeth and Chuck Bruggerman of Orlando, Fl  as well as many great nieces and nephews and many great great nieces and nephews. 
Friends may call on Thursday March 11,2021 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home Jeffersonville, NY from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM . Funeral services will be at 12:00 PM at the funeral home Father Ignatius Vu will  officiate. Social distancing guidelines will be in effect and face masks will be required. Interment will follow in  the Kenoza Lake Cemetery Kenoza Lake, NY.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
