Betty Ann Esselman

Betty Ann Esselman a long-time resident of Cochecton, NY passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 12th. Betty, daughter of Louis Alfred Rapp and Barbara Schurr was born April 16th, 1948, at Callicoon Hospital. Betty Ann married her high school sweetheart, Robert Esselman on November 25th, 1967. Betty and Bob were happily married for 52 years. Betty was an amazing wife and mother who loved to cook, bake, and decorate. Later in life, she would go on to work as a cook and a transport driver. Betty is predeceased by her husband, Robert, son, Jerome, parents, and her brother Peter. Betty is survived by eight of her children, Perry Esselman and wife Desi, Krista Falk and husband Gary, Joel Esselman, Meredith Buehler and husband Kevin, Vanessa Esselman, Jared Esselman and wife Kerri, Shawn Esselman and wife Grace, and Aaron Esselman and wife Kirstin, her 25 grandchildren, sister, Claudine Munich, brother George Rapp and wife Pat, and sister-in-law, Sally Rapp. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church of Damascus, and a viewing followed by a funeral service will be held there on Saturday, October 14th starting at 12 PM. Following the service, Betty will be interred at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Galilee, PA.
