William G. Ackermann of Cochecton, NY a retired truck driver for Gillette Creamery in Ellenville, NY and a longtime employee of Max Yasgur Farm in Bethel , NY died on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, NY. He was 91. The son of the late George and Ruth Kautz Ackermann, he was born December 23, 1926 in Callicoon, NY. He was predeceased by his wife  of 63 years Gloria Mueller Ackermann on July 8,2017.
Bill was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church in Lake Huntington, Jeffersonville Senior Citizens , Sullivan County Seniors Softball League , the  Callicoon Senior Citizens and a former member of St. Georges  Church in Jeffersonville.
He is survived by his four sons: John of Fabius, NY, George  and his wife Ruth of Kenoza Lake, NY, William and his wife Donna of Cochecton, NY and Timothy and his wife Penny  of Cochecton, NY. By his grandchildren: Jen, Chris, Joey, April, Matt, Alan, Vanessa, Heather, Craig, Autumn, Dennis and Danielle. By his great grandchildren: Emmalyn, Cara, Harper, Madison, Chloe, Allie and Rhylee. He is also survived by his extended Mueller family: Edwin & Wilma Mueller, Marilyn Calkin, and Judy Mueller and nieces & nephews. In addition to his wife Gloria  he was predeceased by his son Douglas " Bugsy" Ackermann and by two brothers- in- law Thomas Mueller and Fenton Calkin.
Friends may call on Sunday October 21, 2018 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home Jeffersonville, NY . A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on  Monday October 22, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake  Roman Catholic Church in Lake Huntington, NY . Father Dennis Dinan will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery Youngsville, NY.
