Richard Neer

Richard A. Neer, 74, passed away peacefully February 13, 2019, at Catskill Regional Medical Center after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

He was born November 13, 1944, the son of Clifford and Dorothy Neer. He is predeceased by his parents, sister Janet, and three brothers Donald, Clement James, and Robert (his twin).   He is survived by a sister, Joy Ann Neer, and several nieces and nephews.

Before being admitted to the assisted living unit at Catskill Regional Medical Center he lived his entire life in the family’s home in Long Eddy.  He was proud of his long tenure working at the Bard Parker Plant in Hancock before retiring.

He enjoyed taking occasional trips to visit family members and to New York City.

A funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Church in Callicoon on Friday, February 22, at 11:00 a.m.
