 Randy Lee Gorr of Cochecton, NY, a retired correction officer and proud owner and operator of Tree Works, a lifelong resident of the area passed away unexpectedly on August 10th 2018 . He was 58. The son of Philip Gorr and Vera Gorr; he was born on July 15th, 1960 in Roscoe, N.Y. Randy was a long time member of the Renegade Pigs, NRA, and multiple hunting clubs. He was a US Air Force Veteran. He was an avid outdoorsman who was happiest while enjoying nature especially when hunting, fishing, and trapping. He was an expert marksman. Randy was a selfless man with a heart of gold. He was funny, caring, and hardworking; with a smile and laugh that was contagious. Above all else Randy was a family man who loved, cherished, and protected his family. He is survived by his mother Vera Gorr of Neversink, NY; his beloved daughter Krystle Gorr (a.k.a His Teaser) of Jeffersonville, NY; son Randy Gorr Jr. of Callicoon, NY; one brother Ricky Gorr and his companion Linda Moavero of Grahamsville, NY; one sister Wanda Leight and her husband Douglas Leight of Neversink, NY; three nieces Kathleen Gorr, Heather Gorr, and Rebecca Leight; one great niece Madalynn Colon; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Randy was predeceased by his father Philip Gorr, his sister Robin Gorr, and his brother Alan Gorr. Friends may call on Thursday August 16, 2018 from 6 to 9 PM at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home 34 Upper Main St. Callicoon, NY. Funeral services with military honors will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral Home, Pastor Bridgette LeConey will officiate.
