Mary Lou Buddenhagen

  Mary Lou Buddenhagen of Long Eddy, a retired receptionist died Tuesday September 3, 2019 at CRMC Callicoon. She was 75. Daughter of the late George and Frances Long Buddenhagen, Mary Lou was born May 18, 1944 in Callicoon.
     Mary Lou could be blunt at times, and unfiltered when it came to her opinions. She had a heart of gold and showed everyone that she cared through her many posts on Facebook. She was a very proud grandmother and never hesitated to let them know it. She had numerous jobs over her lifetime which included many years working in the hotel industry. Mary Lou always had a great love for animals since she was a little girl and never turned a stray away. If she had any wish, she would love for all of them to have a loving caring home. Adopt don't  shop! 
     Mary Lou is survived by her longtime companion David Ryder, by her daughters Sheri Newport Riehl of Houston, TX , Deedee Sipple and her husband Garry of Mileses, by her grandchildren Courtney Sipple, Sydney Sipple, and Dalton Riehl, and by her sister Betty Ringgenberg and her husband Verl. Mary Lou is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mary Lou was predeceased by her brothers Ronald and James Buddenhagen.
     Friends may call on Sunday September 8, 2019 from 4-7 PM at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home 34 Upper Main Street Callicoon. Funeral services will be held on Monday September 9, 2019 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hortonville Cemetery.
