Lester Stephen "Bud" Simonson

Lester Stephen (Bud) Simonson, Sr. of Jeffersonville,NY  former owner of Simonson's  Auto Wrecking Business died on Thursday August 9, 2018 at home, he was 95. The son of the late Lester and Marion Frazier Simonson, he was born August 6,1923 in Weehawken, NJ. He was predeceased by his wife Ruth Anna Ulrich Simonson on May 20,2018.

Lester proudly served his country during World War II in the Merchant Marine as well as the US Army.

Lester is survived by his son Lester S. Simonson, Jr. and his companion Louise Dayton, who also served as Lester's care giver. Lester is also survived by his grandson Richard Stephen Simonson and by several nieces & nephews. In addition to his wife Ruth Anna Simonson he was predeceased by two sisters Doris D'Ercole and Florence Baum.

Friends may call on Wednesday August 15,2018 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home Jeffersonville, NY. Funeral services will be Thursday August 16, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, Pastor Bridgette LeConey will officiate. Interment with military honors will be at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery Liberty, NY.
