Lester R Hillriegel

  Lester R. Hillriegel 92, of Callicoon husband of the late Margaret Them Hillriegel, a retired Dairy Farmer and former Purchasing Agent for Sullivan County died Saturday September 29, 2018. Son of the late George and Anna Landeck Hillriegel, Lester was born November 5, 1925 in Callicoon.
     During his working years in addition to farming, Lester worked for Beacon Feeds in Hortonville and GLF in Callicoon which later became AGWAY. Lester was also a former Town of Fremont Town Justice and Building Inspector.
     Lester is survived by his children; Philip Hillriegel of Callicoon, Steven(Joyce) Hillriegel of Millsboro, DE, Linda(Michael) Lesoing of Reno, NV,and Marcia (Richard) Knapp of Hillsborough, NC, and by his last surviving sister Anna Duncan of Webster, New York. Lester is further survived by a daughter in law Beverly Hillriegel of Damascus, PA and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Lester was predeceased by his son Lester Richard Hillriegel Jr., by his grandaughter Gracie Hillriegel, by his daughter in law Nancy Hillriegel and by his siblings Harry, Al, Arthur, George, Lillian and Helen.  
     Friends may call on Monday October 1, 2018 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home 34 Upper Main street Callicoon from 10 AM to 12 Noon. The funeral service will be held at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery Damascus, PA following the funeral.
