Eugene "Gene" Doetsch  of Jeffersonville, NY a retired farmer and a retired custodian at Jeff-Youngsville Central School, died on Tuesday August 21, 2018 at Catskill Regional Medical Center Harris, NY he was 85. The son of the late Charles and Helen Dorrer Doetsch, he was born August 10,1933 in North Branch, NY.  He was married to Shirley Geib Doetsch, Mrs. Doetsch predeceased him on April 27, 1993. 
"Gene" was a US Army Veteran and a member of Delaware Lodge # 561 Of Free and Accepted Masons.
He loved his family , garden, flowers and restoring antique furniture.
He is survived by his daughters Linda Hubert (David), and Louise Popolillo . His amazing grandchildren: David "Hopper" Hubert, Jr. (Christina), Stephanie Jester(James), Gary Hubert (Amy), Kristen and Danielle Popolillo. His great grandchildren: Andrew,Jacob, & Alec Hubert, Gavin Hubert and Daniel & Matthew Jester. His sister Gloria Stevens and brothers Warren Doetsch (Ruth), and David Doetsch (Pat). In addition to his parents and his wife Shirley Geib Doetsch he was predeceased by his daughter Tami A. Doetsch,his brother Gerald Doetsch and by his in-laws Osmer and Mildred Geib.
Friends may call on Thursday August 23,2018 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home Jeffersonville, NY . Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be in the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Cemetery Jeffersonville, NY.
